William U. Hover
In 1833, Joseph and Caroline Hover removed with their family from Trumbull County to Allen County. Their children are Josiah, Adgate, Elizabeth, Joshua, Cyrus, Oscar, William and James. William was then about eight years old, as he was born June 25, 1825. His wife was born in Harrison County, September 29, 1826. Their children are, Sarah C., Joseph O., Thomas L., Mary L., Flora B., William E., Lydia M., and Frank B. Mrs. Hover is Mary J., daughter of Thomas and Sarah Milligan, who came from Union County, in 1844, and whose children are, Maria, Belle, Lydia, Joseph, William, Thomas, Emma, Albert, Amanda and Mary J. Mr. Hover has been Township Trustee.
