Samuel Neher, Sr.
SAMUEL NEHER, SEN., was born in Rockingham County, Virginia, August 3, 1810. His first wife was Anna, daughter of Elder Abraham Miller, who came to Allen from Logan County, in 1833. Anna was born in Montgomery County, July 28, 1822--died December 26, 1859. Mr. Neher's second wife is Salome, daughter of Abraham and Salome Miller, and full sister of his first wife. She was born in Logan County, February 28, 1827. Mr. Neher's children are, Mary, Joseph and Samuel Abram. Mr. N.'s parents, John and Magdalena Neher, removed from Virginia to Clark County, Ohio, in 1817. Their children are, Elizabeth, John, Henry, Susan, Mary, Catharine and Samuel. Names of the children of Abraham and Salome Miller--Joseph, Anna, Mary, Abraham, Salome, Christian, Catharine, Barbara, Phoebe, Sarah, Daniel, Susannah and Samuel.
