Dr. Charles H. Pickett

Dr. Charles H. Pickett made his advent to this favorite resort in 1831, after a short stay in Worthington. He died here in 1855. He was educated in New York City and came of a very influential family. His father and brothers conducted a female seminary in the city, and the father was the author of several school books. None questioned his ability, and it is said that he never questioned it himself. His son, Alexander, read medicine with him and soon after died suddenly.
