Rev. David Bobp was born in Pennsylvania in 1809, and came to this county in 1837, when he entered the land on which he now lives. He devoted the greater portion of his life to the work of the ministry, but declining health compelled him to relinquish this position. He still acts however in the capacity of a local minister. He has officiated at 95 marriages, and preached perhaps as many funeral sermons as any man in the county.
