George Moyer
George Moyer...started from his home in PA about the same time as (the others), but parted from them in Pittsburgh, going all the way by land...He arrived in the Twin Valley about the time that the others landed in Cincinnati, and has the honor of being the first of the Pennsylvanians who came to this Valley...(The land George settled was ) later owned by his on, Jonathan. Mr. (George) Moyer died in October of the same year in which he came to Ohio. His son, Jonathan...is now in his eighty-fourth year (1883) and has several sons to perpetuate the name of Moyer.
