Alexander Elliott


Alexander Elliott, seventh son of Cornelius and Elizabeth Elliott, was born in Licking County, Ohio, June 16, 1828. He came to Shelby County with his parents in 1835, and located in Dinsmore Township. He has made farming his vocation. May 24, 1849, he married Miss Elizabeth Deyo, then of Auglaize County, Ohio, but a native of Pennsylvania, where she was born May 15, 1826. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott settled on his father’s home farm in Dinsmore Township, remained until in 1865, when they moved on the farm where they now reside, one-half mile north of Botkins.
