James Harper

James Harper is a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Harper. He was born in this state, Sept. 1, 1813. His wife is Sarah, daughter of Ralph and Ruth Cherry, who came from Union County in 1844. She was born in Fairfield County, Dec. 19, 1820. They have four children, Ralph C., Wilson S., Alice A., and John E. Jacob and Elizabeth Harper had nine children: Miller, David, Mary, James, Elizabeth, Joseph, William, Nancy and John. The children of Ralph and Ruth Cherry are Sarah (Mrs. Harper), Elizabeth, Minerva L. and Ruth.
