Mrs. Margaret Hartzell

Mrs. Margaret Hartzell, Deerfield, Ohio, was born in Milton Township, Trumbull Co., Ohio, in 1816; daughter of James Parshall and Margaret Baight, a pioneer family of Trumbull County, Ohio. Our subject was united in marriage, in 1841, with John Hartzell, a native of Lancaster County, Penn., who at fourteen years of age came with his father to this county. Here he grew up, and by industry and perseverance accumulated sufficient means to purchase the land where he established a home which stands as a monument to his memory. He died September 1, 1873, aged eighty years, eleven months and twenty-five days, leaving a widow and two children—Anna and Mary, the latter the wife of Mark Bosworth—to mourn his loss. Mrs. Margaret Hartzell is a member of the Presbyterian Church at North Benton, Mahoning Co., Ohio.
